Our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown in Rutherford, one of Napa Valley’s most prestigious appellations. The hand-harvested grapes went through barrel fermentation, which helped keep temperature lower and achieve maximum extraction of color and flavor from the grapes and the skins. Once fermentation was complete, the wine went through a monthlong period of extended maceration to create fullness and texture and to soften the tannins of the finished wine. This wine aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months prior to bottling.
This smooth Cabernet offers up lovely aromas of blackberry and boysenberry with hints of toasted spice and dark chocolate. In the mouth, lush fruit is layered with notes of cloves, vanilla and coffee along with hints of fresh sage. This is a warm, welcoming Napa Valley Cabernet that displays a good balance of fruit, oak, tannin and acid. Enjoy now or until 2025.
