The 2016 Napa Valley Rutherford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a sustainably-farmed vineyard on the west side of the Rutherford AVA, tucked close to the Mayacamas Mountains. The hand-harvested grapes were cold-soaked to extract flavor and color, then barrel fermented in a 50/50 mix of new and neutral oak. Extended maceration was used to refine and soften the tannins, and the wine was aged in a new French oak barrel for 19 months prior to bottling. This is truly the best of our 2016 Cabernet harvest!
